The arrival of autumn brings a happy return to my blog and time to connect with my readers again. As I bid farewell to the blistering heat of summer, I welcome autumn and invite you to book an enchanting autumn/winter portrait session with me.
Put on a comfy sweater and your favorite pair of jeans. Layer up with a stylish coat, rock a cozy beanie, and don't forget your mittens! Crisp, sunny November days are a fantastic time to commemorate high school seniors, newly engaged couples, expectant women, and happy families with an outdoor portrait session.
Consider a November sunrise or sunset session on the beach with beautiful hues of gold and pink on the horizon. But it's not just the beach that's magical this time of year; the Grand Strand has many ideal backdrop locations. If you enjoy the exhilarating nip in the air as much as I do, book your session, bundle up, and meet me at one of these fun, picturesque backdrop locations. Let's make tangible memories with imagery.
The crowds have retreated, and busy beaches become tranquil this time of year. It's a prime opportunity to meet me at The Apache Pier, a backdrop I've utilized numerous times, and a client favorite! As the east coast's longest pier, it makes an impressive backdrop.
Having plenty of old-growth trees, nature trails, a wide beach, and a pier, The Myrtle Beach State Park is a portrait session playground. (I also have an extra parking pass to let you use if you'd like to meet me there.) The hours of operation are 6 am to 10 pm March - November, and 6 am to 8 pm December - February, so a sunrise or sunset session on the beach would be an option.
Over the river and through the woods to The Booth's Christmas Tree Farm, we go. Here, we'll have access to festive trees, a weathered barn, and a vintage truck. This location is a fun and festive backdrop for family sessions and works well for senior portraits too.
The Conway Riverwalk embodies Southern charm with a winding paved trail and boardwalk that meanders along the Waccamaw River through the heart of Conway's historic district.
The Caledonia Golf and Fish Club is an excellent portrait backdrop and a treasured Grand Strand gem. This fairy tale setting has moss-covered oak trees, manicured lawns, and magnificent natural landscapes. Take advantage of the serenity and meet me there for a maternity session or grab your sweetie and cuddle up for a romantic engagement shoot. The atmosphere at Caledonia inspires the true essence of your precious bonds.
Finally, Huntington Beach State Park. A vast oceanfront park with nature trails, old-growth trees, scenic marshland, an intriguing castle, and an endless undisturbed beach. This enchanting location works for nearly every type of portrait session, and I even have an extra entry pass to share. (You might be thinking I saved the best for last with this one.)
Of course, if you have a special place in mind that you'd like to utilize for your personalized session, I will travel within a 50-mile radius at no extra cost to you. And don't forget autumn/winter sessions make great Christmas cards, and gallery wrapped canvasses make great Christmas gifts!
